Pacific Boychoir Academy is a unique performing-arts organization with a choir day-school for boys (grades 3-8), and after-school boychoirs (grades pre-k12.) Our sister choir, Sorella, was developed for girls grades 3-8.
Founded in 1998 in Oakland, California, PBA's GRAMMY Award-winning boychoir features over 60 boys and young men in seven choirs — all renowned for their rich sound, impeccable phrasing, and professional-level musicianship.
Pacific Boychoir Academy is the only secular boychoir school in the Western United States. PBA day school boasts a “best-for-boys” curriculum that includes rigorous and immersive education in academics, musicianship, and performance. Day school boys rehearse together daily 90-120 minutes, accelerating their skills in PBA's Troubadors ensemble and cementing lifelong friendships.
The Los Angeles Times calls Pacific Boychoir Academy’s sound quality “astonishing,”
and the New York Times hails PBA’s ability to perform
music “far beyond the reach of most children’s choirs.”
